Does your skin feel irritated when you sit on your chair?

We are confident that your indoor air quality is not as good as it seems.

GreenChair

It’s a fact that most people spend a substantial amount of time indoors, be it working or studying. It is important to maintain a clean and hygienic place in order to be productive,  which means good indoor air quality is essential.

“Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the air quality within and around buildings and structures, especially as it relates to the health and comfort of building occupants. Understanding and controlling common pollutants indoors can help reduce your risk of indoor health concerns.

Health effects from indoor air pollutants may be experienced soon after exposure or, possibly, years later.” – which was stated by U.S Environmental Protection Agency

As of today, one of the most common pollutants indoor is Formaldehyde, found in furniture, plywood, glue and many other products.

After a short exposure to Formaldehyde, you may start to experience irritation of the eyes, nose, throat, skin or even headaches and coughing.

Based on National Institute of Cancer on Formaldehyde and Cancer risk, prolonged exposure may result in one to contract respiratory diseases, heart diseases or even possibly risk of cancer. A study performed by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health found an association between the duration of exposure to formaldehyde and leukaemia deaths.

Many people do not know they are sensitive to formaldehyde and you might be one of them, so why expose yourself to this uncertain menace which may possibly create health problems in your life?

Don’t be at risk!

We are Greenguard Certified

“GREENGUARD Certification program helps manufacturers create–and helps buyers identify and trust–interior products and materials that have low chemical emissions, improving the quality of the air in which the products are used.” – which was stated by GreenGuard

In 2011, we have collaborated with GreenGuard Environmental Institute (USA) to develop our seats to meet the proliferating demands of our customers to be satisfactory for the IAQ. We are also the first in Southeast Asia to receive this certification and until today, we have the most complete range of office and lounge seatings certified by GreenGuard of all office seating manufacturers here.

From then, We have always obtained raw materials with low emissions of pollutants and used GREENGUARD Gold Certified, SIMALFA®321 (formaldehyde free), to create our products in order to provide a healthier seat for your lifestyle and not forgetting, to safeguard our workers during production.

“SIMALFA®321 is a very fast drying one-part water based adhesive that can be used in a wide variety of applications where one of the materials is non-porous. Simalfa®321 is commonly used where foams and other porous materials are bonded to non-porous substrates such as non-woven fabric, metal, wood, or plastic.” – which was stated by SIMALFA®

All in all, We care for our product makers and users, hence we take into consideration your health and comfort, bearing in mind that we must also not forget about our environment.

With that being said…

Do you know that your chair may be able to help the environment more than you think?

But how exactly?

Other Green Initiatives

As defined in the Oxford Dictionary, pollution is the presence in or introduction into the environment of a substance which has harmful or poisonous effects. This simply means that there are many substances that are detrimental to our health all around us. For example, the haze that is still prevalent today.

Therefore, we have been consistently controlling and improving our efficiency and effectiveness in terms of waste management in compliance with ISO 14001:2004 to reduce many types of pollution.

“ISO 14001:2004 specifies requirements for an environmental management system to enable an organization to develop and implement a policy and objectives which take into account legal requirements and other requirements to which the organization subscribes, and information about significant environmental aspects. It applies to those environmental aspects that the organization identifies as those which it can control and those which it can influence. It does not itself state specific environmental performance criteria.” -which was stated by International Organization For Standardization on Environmental Management System

Furthermore, We have also adopted the 3Rs, “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” policy, which aims to create 99.9% recyclable and replaceable products. This ensures that we conserve natural resources while minimising any possible wastage. Thus far, we are proud to say that our ZOOM series is now recyclable up to 95% of the body parts.

Not to mention, We understand the paramountcy of keeping our nature intact and also having a secure working environment, hence, one-third of the factory ground is reserved for greenery, to ensure both a balance between our factory and nature, and coexistence with wildlife. We also take into account the wellbeing of our workers, by ensuring their workplace is of impeccable quality. We cherish the ecosystem that exists in our area, hence, we do not exploit the land and tarnish its beauty.

Go GREEN with us!

To us, there is no reason in creating quality seats while jeopardizing our mother nature. We believe by adopting green initiatives with the highest discipline, we can ensure both ecological sustainability and production of high-quality seating solutions for our customers.
